The CRM has its own dump, and it was taken differently. Check it the same way: bring it up in a separate database and compare it with the original. The file's format tells you what restores it.
Check the CRM dump
~/backup holds yesterday's dump of the crm database, crm.sql. Check that it restores: bring it up in a new database, crm_check. Leave crm alone.
