A denied read is not always fixed by the file's own permissions. In the previous lesson the directory archive closed the path to note.txt.
First find the part of the path where access breaks: namei -l, or ls -ld on each directory. Then change the rights of that part, and only that part. Adding rights to the file is useless when a directory is closed: the check never reaches the file.
Get your way back to the note
In /srv/permissions-lab, your cat archive/note.txt is refused. Fix access for yourself: open nothing to the group or others, and leave note.txt's mode and text alone.
