systemd
System and service manager that manages units and their dependencies.
systemd is the first process (PID 1) and service manager of most modern distributions. It manages the lifecycle of units (services, sockets, timers, mount points), resolves dependencies, and parallelizes boot.
Basic commands go through systemctl. Service logs are read with journalctl.
